NL Series
Standard rotary phase converters. Single-phase 230V in, three-phase 230V out. The most common Phoenix model for machine shops, lathes, mills, and general industrial use.
Overview
The NL Series is Phoenix's flagship standard rotary converter. It converts single-phase 230V utility power into balanced three-phase 230V output using a precision-wound TEFC cast-iron idler motor. AutoLink is standard on every unit — it manages reconnection automatically after a power interruption.
Use the NL Series for mills, lathes, drill presses, grinders, dust collectors, air compressors (standard duty), and general shop equipment. Not suitable for high-LRA compressor loads — use the NLA Series for those.

Sizing Rule
Size the converter to 2× the HP of your largest motor. Add the running HP of all other motors that run simultaneously.
Example: 5 HP mill + 1 HP coolant pump = (5×2) + 1 = 11 HP → GP15NL
